General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party, John Boadu has challenged former President John Mahama to give life to his blistering allegations of the NPP training thugs at Asutuare by directing his evidence to the Police.
Myafricatoday.com monitored an interview granted by the NPP Secretary to Asempa fm’s Philip Osei Bonsu on Ekosiisen program in Accra on Friday October 11th, 2019. ‘If he believes he has pictures of any facility housing party vigilantes, he should give his evidence to the Police for action to be taken’, he said.
Mr Boadu however denied the claims vehemently, claiming that his party didn’t need any vigilantes to win the general elections in 2020. He also called on the former president to equally pray that what happened at Chereponi and Talensi didn’t repeat themselves in our electoral history. ‘ He should pray that the violence we saw at Chereponi and Talensi wouldn’t also happen again’.
Mr John Boadu was however optimistic that the pictures in possession of Mr Mahama were that of thugs being trained elsewhere like Somalia and not Ghana.
