“With the high level of lawlessness, vigilantism, militia tactics, kidnapping and intimidation being displayed with impunity in recent times, Ex-President John Mahama, in his second coming, will be committed to continue with his efforts of building a law-based country, Government and society to enhance the security of the Ghanaian, which unfortunately is totally collapsed under the current President Akufo Addo led government” Ambassador Horace Nii Ayi Ankrah has claimed.
Speaking from his Accra office in an interview with mynewsghana, the former UK and Ireland Chapter Chairman of the NDC continued that “the NDC led by Ex-President Mahama will improve legislation plans, concentrate on priorities, attach equal importance to making new laws and revising and repealing existing ones, make legislation more appropriate and democratic and make laws more targeted, timely and systematic.”
“We should improve the working mechanism and procedures of legislation, expand the scale of orderly public participation and give full consideration to the opinions of all parties involved, so as to make the laws properly reflect the needs of economic and social development” the ambassador added.
The former Chairman, who is not happy with the selective justice being practiced in Ghana in the last few years described the current atmosphere in the country under President Akufo Addo “unwholesome”.
He also called on Ghanaians, once again, to consider the atmosphere in the country since 2017 to date to inform what the future holds for our dear nation; “aside the current wave of insecurity the continued mendacity of this government is hurting”.
“The future is uncertain with the cloud of hopelessness due to the failed, failings and the uninspiring attitude of the Akufo Addo government”.
“Finally, Ghanaians should not shy away from voting for Ex-President John Mahama, who has made safeguarding social stability his basic task, the promotion of social fairness and justice one of his core values and.
ensuring a happy life for the people his fundamental target” he concluded.
