Docas Care foundation, a Non-governmental organisation (NGO) based in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality in partnership with their Denmark partners has donated to 3 health facilities in the area.
Nuaso CHPS compound received 2 modern electronic adjustable beds with mattresses, a wheelchair, walking aids and other medical supplies.
Kpongunor CHPS compound also received similar medical equipments and supplies from the donors.
Atua Government Hospital, one of the biggest medical facilities in the Krobo Land area also received 2 modern electronic adjustable beds with mattresses, wheelchair, patient lifters, 16 first aid boxes, 900 pieces of face masks and assorted goods among others.
In an with interview with the Coordinator of Docas Care Foundation, Ghana Mr. Nii-Boye Djani, he stated that they are committed to their core mandate to support the aged, disabled and less privileged in society to attain high level of health care and due to that they will be presenting similar health equipments to some of their registered benefactors in their major operational areas in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality which are Manya Kpongunor and Nuaso township.
Mrs. Marylove Nai-Willians, head of Nursing at the Atua Government on behalf of the hospital expressed their heart felt appreciation to the donors as he called on other cooperate bodies and individuals to the aid of the state institutions in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.
