NATIONAL Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Paraliment (MP) for Lower Manya Constituecy in the Eastern Region, Hon. Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi has cut–the-sod for the construction of the nurses’s quarters and the Community based Health Planning and Service (CHIPS) compound for the people of Asitey community.
The CHIPS compound when completed the MP explained would go along way to improve the healthcare services of the people at Asitey community who are predominantly farmers.
According to the MP, the project is expected to be completed in five (5) months and charged AB – ZIKO Limited Engineering contractor to work within stipulated time.
Mr Terlabi added that it is very important to build a health center and for that matter it will help improve health delivery in the area.
He urged members of the Asitey ommunity to get on board to ensure the sustainability of the project.
The chiefs and people in the area commended the MP for his kind gesture and assured him of the community’s commitment to make sure that the project becomes a success.
As part of the occasion, the MP also donated text books and supported public and private Junior High School Students with teaching and learning materials.
MP donated cock crow answering books to third year students to aid them in conducting their class assignment.
He hinted that the support is part of his share of MP’s common fund and said supporting basic education was part of his priorities to improve on basic education in the areaConstituency.
MP stated that as part of efforts to improve on basic education in the area, he planned to institute best BECE performed school and best students awards scheme to award deserving School.
