TAIN DISTRICT HAS BEEN ABANDONED IN TERMS OF DEVELOPMENT — CASHEW FARMERS ASSOCIATION SECRETARY

District cashew farmers association’s secretary and also a concern citizen Mr. Solomon Kofi Ameyaw has made a comment that, Tain district is far behind in development.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He made it open in an interview with Media that, the main work in the Tain district is cashew farming and and the price of the product has reduced drastically as at last year till now so the farmers gain nothing in their occupation.

 

 

 

 

He mentioned again that, one of the district’s rural banks called Baduman rural bank has locked up the little amount that the farmers keep with them including his as a result of revoked license and he is appealing to the government to include Baduman rural bank as he has promised to sustain some of the banks that their license has been revoked so that the customers can retrieve their money.

He added to it that, almost all the road leading in and out of the district are in its deplorable state so the farmers find it difficult to bring their products to the market and the only district hospital that was under construction has left uncompleted and the people in the district are suffering in the aspect health.

He calls on government to turn up to Tain district in terms of development.
