The New Patriotic Party, Prestea Huni Valley Constituency led by Chairman Abiam Kuntu Danso wishes to warmly congratulate our indefatigable Member of Parliament Hon. Lawyer (Mrs.) Barbara Oteng-Gyasi on her new appointment by His Excellency the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the Minister designate for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts. Mrs. Oteng-Gyasi Gyasi was hitherto the Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources.
We are particularly excited about this new appointment because being the first ever female MP for Prestea Huni Valley Constituency Hon. Lawyer (Mrs.) Barbara Oteng-Gyasi has brought us immeasurable deference and recognition. This appointment undoubtedly makes her the first ever female from Wassaland to be appointed a substantive Minister since independence. This is an enviable achievement and we are very proud to be associated with Hon. Lawyer (Mrs.) Barbara Oteng-Gyasi.
We wish to express our profound gratitude to His. Excellency the President for the honour done us and also to assure him that Prestea Huni Valley is solidly behind him and will never leave nor forsake him.
We expect the impending ministerial vetting of Hon. Lawyer (Mrs.) Barbara Oteng-Gyasi by the Appointments Committee of Parliament to be a mere formality judging from her wealth of knowledge and experience in the Ghanaian socio-political environment. We wish her well in that regard.
Finally we wish to assure all Ghanaians that our MP is up to task, very competent and conscientious and we have absolutely no doubts whatsoever that she would use her new office to further advance the cause of the country’s tourism and its many unearthed potentials as well promote our undiluted cultural heritage in the face of the marauding effects of globalization and also re-brand and revitalize our Creative Arts industry and position it on the world map to rake in the needed benefits.
Once again congratulations to Hon. Lawyer (Mrs.) Barbara Oteng-Gyasi for making us proud. May God continue to bless us all.
Long Live Prestea Huni Valley.
Long Live Ghana.
