Prestea/Huni-valley: MP Donates Items To Farmers And Methodist Church


Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources in Charge of Mines who doubles as the Member of Paraliment (MP) for Prestea Huni-Valley Constituecy of the Western Region Mrs. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi has consistently made time to visit her people and made sure their needs remains her ultimate objective to fulfil.


The MP who was accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive  (MCE) of the area, Mr Mozart K. Owuh,toured communities such as Subriso, Cocoa Shed, Pewodee all in Heman Electoral Area and  Patase, Koduakrom, Domeabra, Asuohyia in Damang Electoral Area and Aboso.

In addition, the two personalities visited Bompieso Methodist Church, to deliver a promise the MP made to the Church.

As part of the two days visit to the communities, the MP and MCE donated
200 bags of cement to the Bompieso Methodist Church to support the construction of a new church building structure.

They also donated an amount of GH¢ 10,000 to Church to support the roofing of the Church after construction.

Some of the donations they made include 50 bags of cement to Pewodee to support construct of Teachers Quarters, three Cocoa Spraying Machines to farmers of Patase and Pewodee.

Others are six Boxes of Confidor, and agrochemical were given to farmers in Cocoa Shed, Subriso and Koduakrom to support cocoa production and an amount of GH¢ 2,000 to support Methodist Synod Crusade at Aboso.

The beneficiaries thanked the MP and MCE profusely for thinking and caring about them. Very Rev. Mrs.Deborah Nyarko Affenyi, “there are several people who gave us promise but refused to honour it.

“But, in the case of Mrs.Oteng-Gyasi, she has honoured her promise. We are grateful to her as a Church, and pray for more success in her endeavours”, the beneficiaries noted.

Personalities who accompanied MP and MCE include, Mr. Ebenezer Owusu, Chairman Abiam Danso, NPP Constituency Chairman, Prestea Huni-Valley, Mr. Anokye, 1st Vice Chairman of NPP, PHM, Emmanuel Ennor Arthur, 2nd Vice Chairman, NPP, PHM, Francis Abeiku Yankah, and Hajia Azume, Women Organizer.
