One six-unit classroom block, with ancillary facillities have been provided for the people of Beposo in the Amenfi Central District in the western region by the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Hon. Patrick Hockson Amponteng.
The project was completed with funding from the Assembly’s share of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETfund).
Speaking at a brief ceremony held to commission the project on Thursday, 22nd November, 2018 at Beposo, the DCE said, the project which will accommodate primary one to six adds to other school projects facilitated by the Assembly in the District and that, the six unit classroom block is to improve education in Amenfi Central.
He said the project was an indication of the government and the Assembly’s commitment to ensure that quality education was extended to communities in the district
Hon. P.H Amponteng further appealed to parents, during the commissioning, to ensure that they played their roles of providing the needs of their wards for effective learning.
He also encouraged teachers to give off their best, to improve the quality of education in the District.
The Chief and elders of Beposo expressed appreciation to the DCE and the assembly.
