Residents of Ayigbe Town, a community in the New Weija Electoral Area have, through their Assembly Member, Hon Oduro Ampaw, made a passionate appeal to the Municipal Chief Executive of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly.
The community is engulfed in filth and are reeling under the invasion of stray pigs.
The MCE, Hon Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, today 15th November 2018, took a team from the Environmental Department of the Assembly to the area to assess the situation.

Accompanied by the Assembly Member for the area and the head of the EPA, the team was shocked at the spectacle before them.
Some residents who took the team to a refuse dump in the community expressed their indignation at the attitude of other residents which had contributed to the present situation.
The head of the Environmental Department, Madam Pat, promised to provide a refuse container for the use of the residents in the coming weeks.
Hon Patrick Kumor directed the EPA to take immediate steps to address the situation and where possible, prosecute all offenders.
