Born Laweh Millicent known at the showbiz front as Tyra Meek has called upon all musicians and the media in the eastern region to join force and support the award scheme that celebrates and honor music makers in the region (Eastern Music Awards).
Speaking on Nopras Fm with Gideon Kwaku Ofori on ShowbizToday show, the songstress maintained that, all musicians and the media including other coperate bodies should be of one anchor and uplift the Eastern Music Awards scheme to a standard.
“We all have to come together and support this initiative. Its all what we have and it is the only award scheme in the region which honors the hard work of music makers in the region. If the media gives out their maximum support, investors will be exposed to the effectiveness of the award scheme and invest their resources into it.” she has said.
The ‘Demon’ hitmaker had also said that, its through thìs award scheme that artistes in the region would have national recognition and breakthrough the chocked industry.
“If we appreciate what we have, the world will appreciate us also. This award scheme is a ground of exposure and has to be supported to gain such recognition. Think of it if this award scheme leads all regional awards scheme and you are announced as the overall winner? Such artiste will be the talk of the day on every media front and that automatically expose you to the world since the media has gotten a loud mouth.” she added.
Tyra Meek is an Afropop, R&B music performer who just released her debut sing dubbed “Demon” and already enjoying massive airplay across the country.
